On 23 Jan 2025, Nesma Infrastructure and Technology (NIT) signed a new contract with the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for the construction of a new substation for BISHA -PV 380/132 KV BSP, valued at over SAR  645 million.

The scope of work for the contract includes the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning, and Energization of the High-Voltage transmission substation along with its connection to the Saudi National Grid on a lump sum turnkey basis with a delivery time of 23 Months.
